rehearsal dinner + honeymoon + etsy
Ate a lite ($3.99) Philadelphia Cheesesteak sandwich from Penn Station today (no fries, no drink, no cookie). I’ve also been super good since last Monday. You’ll just have to trust me.
New goals:
1. Blog more than once a week again.
2. Work out more than once a week again.
3. Email the caterer!!
The good news is that I’m close to finalizing rehearsal dinner details. You can’t believe how perfect the room is that we’re (cross your fingers, say a prayer) trying to get. You can practically reach out and touch the ArtsGarden dome from the window! (Check out the picture to the left!) And it’s in the Embassy, which is where we have our hotel block and where most of our guests will probably be staying. So perfect, right!
Other wedding planning news? I will just say that wedding planning brings out the accountant in me. (My dad’s a CPA, so I guess I come by it honestly.) I think it’s working out close to what we budgeted, though.
Also! Somewhere this weekend, I told Bobby I’m ok with the honeymoon being a surprise. (!) I also said that if we get to the airport and my ticket says “Alaska“, it could be a very short honeymoon.
Finally, lately I’ve enjoyed visiting etsy.comt to look at random fun stuff. I thought this one was a good one for me:

Sounds like your on a good track Jessica! Go you! I used to walk by the hotel you were talking about on my way to work when I used to live downtown. Very cool!
hey Joy! we’re excited about the hotel too, especially since it’s so close to the Artsgarden!
Bobby, since Alaska is out, I vote for Nebraska.
Love ya Jess. So, we should talk again soon. Miss you!
Nebraska, eh? You’re getting closer to where I’m planning on going!
I guess we’ll find out if Jess gets on the plane or decides to sit this one out….
Maybe you should let your friends guess your honeymoon destination…Winner gets a souvenir from wherever ur going.
Bobby- Ireland would be the perfect place (just saying)
No Alaska… no Nebraska, please. Ireland? Hmm…
What’s wrong with Alaska?! It could be lots of fun. Oooohh maybe you can take like an Alaskan cruise. Maybe a very nice flight up to Seattle and then ferry on over to Anchorage. Hmmm…I can help Bobby plan this great Alaskan honeymoon.
Oh wait, you’re not going to Alaska.
At least you’re right on budget for your wedding plans. That’s always nice!
“Alaskan cruise” – people have told me otherwise, but that always seemed like an oxymoron to me…
Oh and I love etsy.com. Great website!
You get a bunch of awesome points just for letting the honeymoon be a secret!! I don’t think i could do it. Wait… how would you pack for a place you have no idea were it’s going to be??? hmmmm….
It’s a honeymoon so there won’t be much to pack. Duh! Hehehe!
I plan to pack only formalwear for our entire honeymoon…
haha this litteraly made me laugh out loud. Even if I can’t spell
Rhode Island…. =)
Never been there… Don’t know what’s there…
Have you been watching TCL? They have all kinds of cool wedding-sque shows on there….
I watched one where brides compete for a free honeymoon by trying to plan the coolest themed weddings… This one was so crafty she made her veil with little rinestones and stuff like that… It was so cute made me think of you..
Which reminds me, who are you having run presentation at your wedding? since you are media pastor, I’m expecting some sort of Video announcement or something… Just kidding!!! Love you!!! kristin
Rhode Island? Lol. I don’t know what’s there either… It’s one of those tiny northeast states that I think should combine with the other little ones and be one state.
I don’t watch the TLC. I’m pretty sure it would make me want to jump on all the do-it-yourself stuff. But you know? The more I look into it, the DIY stuff isn’t cheaper when you look at the size of our guest list. … Sounds like a good blog topic!
And it sounds like I’ll have to recruit volunteers during my absence… whatcha doing then?
