What I love about the week of Christmas: Even though I’m working this week, so many people I know are not. And that vacation mentality sort of sinks in somewhere and work isn’t that bad.

Today is the first Monday in a while that I actually don’t dislike. Even though I’m tired from wrapping presents late last night and in spite of trying not to fall in the icy slushiness this morning – somehow, I’m still unfazed. Because I know Christmas is on Friday! And in this Christmas/New Year’s time, it’s like all bets are off. Normal rules don’t apply. Stay up late, drink too much egg nog, spend more money than you wanted (except on lunch, of course!). Because it’s Christmas.
