Musicals + Wow, this blog has lasted a long time …

First, I can’t believe that I’ve blogged every work day since November 6th. That’s more than a month! Only 7 more months to go… Actually, less. Wow. Less than 7 months til we get married!! Ok…

Also, I have to share my Starbucks experience from this morning with you all.

Set-up: You know when you’re watching musicals and there’s that moment where all of a sudden everyone is singing, and you think – “That would never happen in real life.” Oh, pleeeease watch this related video:

We know it’s not logical that people start singing at random parts of Glee and White Christmas and every Disney movie ever made, but somehow we accept it and move on.

I met someone this morning that lives in musical mode. I walked into Starbucks as he was talking to the cashier very loudly and excitedly. I looked at him, deciding if it was safe to order. He shook my hand and apologized for being so loud and continued to explain to me – the newcomer – how he hears sad songs in his head when things go wrong and he hears happy music when life is good.

Oh, Indiana Avenue Starbucks, you do get the weird ones.

Lunch was successful today, too. $4.82 from Jimmy John’s. I ordered the 8 inch #1, which is the Pepe.  No chips. No drink. Those are the things that’ll get you. Jimmy John’s came through with a good sandwich and awesome bread! Great in-store signs, too:

That was a FANTASTIC video! Haha! Loved it! And well done on your $5 dollar lunches and Starbucks realization. It inspires me to not eat out to save money b/c those little inexpensive trips I do add up, just like they did for that person who spent $2500 in a year at Starbuck’s!! Crazy. Anyhoo, glad your wedding planning is going well! :) Merry Christmas!

I know – that’s one of my all-time favorite SNL videos. Also, I’m so glad if my slightly improving habits are inspiring in any way. :) Love that you read the blog and comment!

I didn’t forget your soup suggestion, either! I think in 2010 I will introduce “bring a lunch from home” day or something. That should help also, right?

      Merry Christmas to you too!

People don’t sing in real life? You have met Candace right? LOL
She was looked at a guy in Kroger and started singing to him a song by Rick Pino “the Lord is with you Mighty Warrior, the Lord is with you Mighty Warrior…. SO RISSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! So RISSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE” LOL /// Then she asked him his name and told him , “Well __________ (insert boy name there) I felt that song for you…”

BTW — I would totally love if real life were like Glee… competitions, singing, dancing, Will Schuster, Finn, Puck… you know the whole gang… LOL
    - the drama… Sue Sylvester can stay as long as her witty, but mean jabs are thrown at somebody else but me… Maybe like a dog or something..
